Ordering / Shipping Info
Please note this only applies to our COS Computers. Computer Games and Photo Books are subject to the policies of the companies selling them - we just link to them since I had a hand in their development.

Hopefully you've read this page BEFORE ordering a COS Computer from us, but here are our policies.

  • We generally ship within three business days after receiving your cleared payment
    • This means that if your bank and/or PayPal have an issue with processing your payment, we will not build/test/ship your item(s) until that has been cleared up.
    • If you order on a Friday, that means we would not ship until the following Tuesday.
    • This is a guideline, not a guarantee. During the burn-in process, we may find a defective part, and we will need to replace it. We feel you'd rather wait a couple days rather than have us ship something known not to work just to stay within those guidelines.
  • Shipping and insurance are part of the price you are paying for the item you order
    • Items shipped to addresses within the Continental US will be shipped via UPS 3-Day Select at no additional charge. When we ship the item, we will also send you an email with your tracking number.
    • Items shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, or Mexico will go via UPS Ground. We will send you an email with the tracking number if we are provided one. Be aware that shipments to Canada or Mexico may be delayed by Customs, and we are not responsible for those delays.
    • All items are shipped with insurance - So if the item arrives and there is any evidence it was harmed in shipping, let us know and we will help you process your claim with the shipper. Because we pay for insurance, we will not accept exchanges due to breakage during shipping.
  • We will exchange systems for up to 7 days at no additional charge to you. We will exchange systems for up to 30 days with you responsible for shipping charges.
    • To clarify, if you have a problem with your system within the first seven (7) days, we will exchange your system for a similar system (all parts of equal or greater quality). You will need to contact us first to get an RMA number so we can arrange for shipping.
    • If you wait longer than seven (7) days, you can still exchange your system up to thirty (30) days, but you will need to contact us to get an RMA number, and we will charge you for shipping the old system to us, and for shipping the new system to you.
    • We do not issue monetary refunds - we will only exchange systems/parts for those ordered. If you are uncomfortable with that policy, please do not order from us. While we'd like to have you as a customer, we'd also prefer not to get into lose-lose situations.
